Aloha from Venezuela!

After my quick stop in Egypt i went back home to grab new Kitegear and heading off to Venezuela. My flight has been perfect, as my Material got with me as well. After a 4 our drive i flew from Frnkfurt to Barbados, Pit Stop and then to Porlamar.

Mari picked me up at the Airport and we went to El Yaque to meet Beany and get some Party done. Thats´the usuall way to avoid jetlag. The next day we went with a boat to Coche.

The conditions here are quite tough, as it´s super strong wind, every day riding with a 7 fully overpowerd at the moment..., else it´s super hot, sun is amazing strong, and yeah nothing to do than kitesurfing, which is perfect to concentrate on new stuff.

At the moment we are all training for an upcoming Video and Photoshooting, which will take place all over in  Venezuela.

A few shootings are done already...soon we´re travelling to La Tortuga Islands on an huge Sailboat, spending a week on it and kite every day.

For Semana Santa (Easter time) we did stay in El Yaque, where every day and night huge partys hapend. Actually amazing to see whats going on here in eastertime. You can´t even walk at the beach, cause everybody is just partyiing hardcore, many local people from Porlamar, Caracas, Valencia, and somewhere in between the Core Team dancing all night longJ

Now it´s time to get serious again take the next boat to coche, and work hard for the next shootings.

Yo dears,

Egypt is really weird this time, unusally warm and not much wind at all, tons of flies and other shit flying around bothering you the whole day....

still, i´ve got a few days with wind and could ride my new carved custom board with bindings, they just fit perfect on it and its great fun doing tricks with that shit.  

I almost can´t believe, the boards are already perfect but still they get better and better, 

carved never stops trying new things, new edges, new shapes and customized like i wanna have it, its just teriffic. Together with bindings it´s a wakestyle machine!

As i´m about to leave to austria at 23rd of January, i´m looking forward to go snowboarding. 

Just in time when huge pow pow is waiting for me:).

In general i´m exited about 2010, its going to be sick again and for sure i´ll keep on riding, pulling some new tricks, taking pictures, videos and taking part in some competitions as well.

Aloha,

I did have some sick days back home with my mates, unfortunatley one week isn´t a long time.

So right know i´m on the way to egypt,  while waiting at the airport i update my page.

Egypt for sure is going to be wicked again, as i expect good windconditions in this season, but lets see....

Sunny weather, endless beaches, suitable degrees, constant windconditions, ton´s of friends, good kiters, the all in one package....

it´s so cool to be back here, concentrating on new tricks, living the good life over here...

the journey was once again, pretty tiring and exhausting, as i went straight after arriving in town to get some party done with my mates over here.

Now after a few days i´m very happy about the conditions again, all the tricks i´ve trainend in the past, are so easy to perform here.

looking forward to have a good time,

some good friends arriving soon, as well the fotographer www.michaelmarte.at so once again we will get many cool pictures, from diffrent places, diffrent tricks, and styles.

beside kitesurfing i start to train my shoulders and my knees, cause i´ve got a lot of pain especially in my right shoulder,  which really sucks, last year it was the left one, doing handlepasses all day long is pretty extrem.....

but cumbuco and the area arround offers enough opportunities to relax, and recover.

Yo dears,

just came to Egypt
i´m rippin at Soma Bay this time, enjoying 7BFT every day!
It´s fucking hot down here, i geuss always between 36 and 40 degrees,
but it feels like 60:)
im training really hard, to be in great shape for the upcoming fotoshooting in Brasil
did stick some new moves here, Kiteloop Slim, S-bend-pass, and brougth some more style and grabs into my tricks!

I´m riding the Core Riot XR, and i rellay like it, perfect for unhhoked riding, massiv kiteloops as the kite makes a bigger loop, all the diffrent connection points, allowing me to adjust every kitesize as i wanna have it!
so now with the xr i can do kiteloop hp´s even with 6m/2 ...

some mates are showing up end of this week, maybe we get a little vid done,
would be great! as we have perfect riding conditions.

On Thursday i took a flight to Hamburg, then headed up to kiel for some producing stuff, later on i went to fehmarn, finally there we prepaired ourselves to go to the worldcup in St. Peter-Ording.

St. Peter-Ording was nice, a huge event, about 110 000 visitors....

We presented the new CORE RIOT XR Kite which is just amazing.

As well our new vids and pictures we made in Mauritius and Rodrigues.

Soon they are on my page!-check it out then....

Loads of people were testing the new kite and boards, a great success as they all came out of the water with a huge smile in their face.

It was really nice to meet the whole team again, and we had great fun working together, presenting new boards, riding the new kite.

Showoffs and propper free/wakestyle riding was included.

on the 3rd of August i went back to Austria, need to get some things straigth, before i´m leaving to egypt for a couple of weeks...

i´m really looking forward to brasil this year, i just love this country, the people waves and flatwater!

here i ´am again:)

after some incredible car cruising to fehmarn, and the area around the island, 

we went for a big kitesurfadventure through africa.

In fact we ended up in Mauritius and Los Rodrigues Islands.

They journey was pretty long and exhausting. Many flights, overweight, troubles at the airport, the usual shit.....

But once we were there, everything was fine.

We didn´t expect such great lifestyle, the people are amazing friendly, no criminality at all, no bandits, just chilled out dudes.

"Que position" instead of "give me your money"!

Kitesurfing was very nice, ripping together with all my teammates was very special to me. As we had the new kite as well, we all went crazy and were stoked how good the riot xr is.

the kite is super good and makes me kitesurf even better, i really like unhooked kiteloops with this kite, it´s just so powerfull and great turning speed during the loop.

after 1 month we finally went back to europe, where i spent 2 more days in fehmarn before i went back home.

We got a lot of footage, a video which will be soon on my site, so check it out then.

Kitecontest El Gouna 09

One day before the competition started i got a call from a good friend in el gouna,,
he was like: hey dude tmr is gonna be  a freestyle competition, come and join!

Yeah so the next morning i went to el gouna, signed in, for freestyle and race, half an hour later i was already in the game, the wind was pretty strong and as it was a  jamsession it´s been pretty dangerous as well.
I did stick some nice hp´s, pretty powered on my 7m/2 with the kite really low.
In the end i made it into the finals.
Final round was supposed to be later in that day, around 5pm, but then when we started the wind dropped and the judges decided to continue the freestyle finals the next day.
What a pity for me, i did feel so fit this day.

Anyway the next day we started early in the morning, 9 am. skippersmeeting,
then they decided to do the race before freestlyle,, anyway i joined the race as well.
Some guys were fully equiped with race stuff, like raceboards, spezial trimmed kites and so on.
I was on my 12m/2 Combat GT and my Tantrum which i use for freestlyle.
Was a nice race were i got 2nd!
Right after the race, we were starting the final heat-freestyle,
unfortunatly i didn´t pump up every kite before, and the wind picked up.
i couldn´t change my kite, and did ride it in 25 knots, where i was ways to overpowered to do any unhooked tricks, I got the 4th place.
At least i could manage to boost a huge L3 with grab., which was pretty scary

Yo a few days later i went for pricegivings, just quickly cause i had to hurry to the airport, to fly back home, where i am now.
A bit a pity that i couldn´t join the party, guess it was amazing.
But next time for sure.

Now i ll sort some things out at home, then i´m off to italy for about 2 weeks,
kitesurfing at lake como, where i´ll try to get some good pics, with a really good photographer, called double M so MM for www.michaelmarte.at.

after ten days, i lost my whiteness again, so far so good:)

kiting wasn´t that good until now, neither the wind nor me!

but it should get better the next days and i´m on it to pass the bar again as before.

some wicked happenings took place here allready, did meet some friends, had some good partys as well, all in all theres a good crew down here, so a lot of fun is gauranteed.

on the 4th i´m leaving to zaafarana which is a really good spot north from hurghada.

looking forward to stay in the dessert where nothing else than kitesurfing counts!!!

brasil 2006

After a tiring and exhausting journey, thx to my friends in Austria who are responsible for my bad wasted condition:):) i ´m finally here in Hurghada.

I tried to travel with about 120 kilo, but on the Airport in Zürich they really fucked up my plans.

they made me really upset with there laws and rules.

so i had to pay there a lot of money for overwaight and i just could bring 32 Kilos with me, fuck it!

later on in Egypt the friendly policeman checked me again at the duty!

another 50 Euros...and endless waiting...

whatever....

back in Egypt, sunshine, 30degrees, beach, wind, all you need!

i´m going to get a car very soon, then start my travels to the windiest places over here.

waterslide contest

Hey everybody,

after some good snowboarding & hooking up with my friends,

i´m leaving Austria at Sunday 22nd of March.

Heading off to Egypt, where i will kinda do something like a roadtrip,

discovering all the great spots down there, hopefully with stable strong wind!!!

I´m really looking forward to get in shape again, and concentrate on new tricks, i didn´t nail yet!!!

i´ll stay there for about 2 month, try to get good stuff for a new vid, so check it out tehn, it´s gonna be ......yeahh.....:)

the beer i was waiting for soo loong!

Hey everybody,
i´m sorry for my lazy behaviour,
meanwhile i´m back in Austria where we got plenty of snow,
it´s amazing how nice the mountains are,
specially when you spot them after one year beach again,
whatever i hope to get some good pictures, maybe from snowkiting,
which is a really cool sport as well....
then i would say 2 more weeks and i will finish my first kitevid,
this doesn´t mean it´s going to be the best one, because i need 2 weeks for it,
it just means i don´t have a clue to cut a vid at all ...:)
but let´s see......

ah don´t forget on the 28th of feb. there is the well known ski & snowboard
freeride contest here in Austria-Vorarlberg-Brand
